Multi-Day Horseback Pack Trips

• WolfHorse Outfitters offers authentic, immersive Multi-Day Pack Trips and Multi-Day Rides.
• What is the difference between Multi-Day Pack Trips and Multi-Day Rides? Multi-Day Pack Trips: We go into the wilderness, self-contained with the support of our pack horse relations and stay overnight for several days/nights. Multi-Day Rides: For several days, we meet at a wilderness trailhead in the morning for a day’s ride; participants stay in their independently secured local accommodations overnight.
• For Multi-Day Pack Trips: Guide, Saddle Horse, Pack Horse, Riding Tack, Camping Gear, and Meals are included. Each participant brings their own personal gear and sleeping bag. There is a 1-4 Person Limit. Different Pack Trips have specific minimum and maximum days. We meet at a predetermined trailhead location. Transportation to our meeting place is not included.
• For Multi-Day Rides: Guide, Saddle Horse, Pack Horse, Riding Tack, and Lunch is included. Each participant brings their own personal gear needed for that one day’s ride. There is a 1-4 Person Limit. There are a specific minimum and maximum days. We meet at a predetermined trailhead location. Transportation to our meeting place is not included. Overnight accommodations and other meals are not included.
• The cost of these amazing experiences is per person. An add-on fee for exclusivity is also an option. See specific Multi-Day Pack Trip (in PACK TRIPS) and Multi-Day Rides (in DAY RIDES) for descriptions and minimum and maximum days. All are limited to no more than 4 participants.
• IMPORTANT: We need each rider's specific information for a trip planning discussion. Based on that conversation, WolfHorse Outfitters will provide a quote for the experience. A reservation for a trip or ride is only considered “booked” when WolfHorse Outfitters receives a non-refundable deposit. Only then is a Reservation considered “Booked.” It is first come, first served. To avoid cancellation and forfeiture of non-refundable deposit, the balance due and a waiver of liability completed from each person must be received by WolfHorse Outfitters NO LATER THAN ONE WEEK PRIOR to the start date or the Trip/Ride is considered Cancelled. • Acceptable forms of payments are: Cash, Check, Money Order (Make payable to: WolfHorse Outfitters / Joe Saenz) or Paypal (Apache@wolfhorseoutfitters.com/). If PayPal is used please include the additional PayPal fee in addition to your payment to WolfHorse Outfitters.

Typically, WolfHorse Outfitters Multi-Day Pack Trips and Multi-Day Rides meet at Woody’s Corral Trailhead by Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument off of Highway 15 by the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. Ample parking is available. Please note that NO CELL SERVICE IS AVAILABLE once you pass Pinos Altos, NM.

Distance from Silver City and Gila Cliff Dwellings is 40 miles, but allow for drive time of approximately 2 hours. WolfHorse Outfitters Day Rides and Hiking/Backpacking Tours generally leave from our Base Camp. Typically our pack trips head into the wilderness from Woody’s Corral Trailhead off of Highway 15 by the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. Ample parking is available. Please note that NO CELL SERVICE IS AVAILABLE once you pass Pinos Altos, NM.

A Multi-Day Pack Trip or Multi-Day Ride starts out with you leading your horse to familiarize yourself with the horse you will be riding. From there you will get a short lesson on your horse to gain confidence and understand how to move your horse, stop and go.

• For the safety of our riders and horses, we have a 220lb weight limit.
• Good physical condition is a plus.
• Riders must be able to mount and dismount on their own, with a mounting block.
• The minimum age is 12 years old, and must be accompanied by an adult.
• Riders will be given safety and riding instructions and must be able to demonstrate the ability to control the horse and be of their own physical ability to ride.
